The Gender Research Alliance’s core activity is to undertake high quality research and development in the private and public sector. We undertake assignments that promote social inclusion with a focus on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The Gender Research Alliance was established by three independent international professionals with the expertise and desire to improve the quality and outcomes of gender responsive development research in middle to lower income countries.

We have over 50 years of combined experience working in social inclusion and economic development. With a commitment to gender equality, we have been involved in research and development for private sector growth, gender audits and inclusion strategies and action plans, inclusive value chain development, and inclusive policy development.

Our broad experience has enabled the us to work with all types of organisations such as UN agencies, charitable foundations, government agencies and NGO’s.

The Gender Research Alliance offers experience in:

Constructing evidence-based arguments, obtaining consensus and support for the development and implementation of inclusive development programmes.

Supporting shifts in organizational processes and structures by carrying out participatory gender and disability audits for with associated reports and action plans and indicators of achievement.

Developing gender responsive monitoring and evaluation frameworks with associated indicators of achievement.

Providing high quality research, focusing on specific target groups and their realities.

Developing situation specific tools and methodologies that promote social inclusion in research processes and outcomes.

Researching environmental governance and gender impacts of environmental programmes.
